For over 25 years, Carriage Healthcare has committed to training and educating staff at each of the facilities we manage through semi-annual continuing education conferences. In order for our teams to operate a facility efficiently and cost-effectively while providing the very best care to seniors, we have to stay up on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement changes, MDS protocols, state and federal survey requirements, quality measures, staff retention measures, and so much more. Organizing off-site learning conferences every 6 months for key facility management personel is one way we better equip our teams.
Whether we're focusing on business office practices or improving senior care through nursing, MDS and CNA staff, we find plenty to discuss at every conference. These semi-annual meetings also allow us to meet the every changing challenges of senior care head-on, giving us the opportunity to find new and unique ways to be effective in a highly-regulated industry. We seek out guest speakers who are experts in their fields so we can bring the newest tools and information to our staffs.
Conferences also give staff time to network, learn, brainstorm and share wins and challenges and build relationships with their industry peers. Nurturing administrators and management personnel and equipping them with the knowledge to bring exceptional care to residents is the ultimate goal of our meetings although we always find time for a little fun too!
