Bob Siebel, CFACHCA

Founder & Chairman of the Board

Bob Siebel, founder of Carriage Healthcare, has been a licensed administrator since 1971, with an extensive career that includes serving as President of the American College of Health Care Administrators and Chairman of the Long Term Care Professional Technical Advisory Committee for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. He has conducted seminars for nursing home professionals in over 45 states, presenting to prestigious groups such as the American Hospital Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Chicago Municipal Analysis Society, and the Health Care Financial Management Association, among others. In addition to his leadership roles, Bob has served as an expert witness in multiple states and has published numerous articles on various aspects of long-term care. He is a recipient of both the Distinguished Service Award and the Educator of the Year Award from the American College of Health Care Administration as well as a 2025 honoree of the McKnight’s Pinnacle Inspiration Award. Bob is also the author of A Very Personal Look at the First 50 Years of Long Term Care, a touching and often humorous reflection on the senior care industry’s growth—from its infancy through the development of regulations and Medicare/Medicaid, to his personal experiences navigating the evolving landscape as an administrator. Stephanie Sherman, NHA

Chief Executive Officer

Stephanie Sherman has dedicated more than three decades to long-term care leadership. She spent 15 years as a Nursing Home Administrator and 14 years as Chief Operating Officer before stepping into her current role as Chief Executive Officer. Today, she leads the operations of nine skilled nursing facilities, ten assisted living communities, an RCAC, an independent living community, and four home health agencies. Stephanie provides strategic and operational leadership to strengthen infrastructure, ensure financial sustainability, and position the organization for long-term success. Her passion is to deliver exceptional quality care, create a workplace where people feel valued and supported, and ensure families feel confident entrusting their loved ones to her team. She sets the tone for the organization by leading with integrity, accountability, innovation, and respect — committed to doing the right thing and developing strong teams that deliver consistent results. Stephanie is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, an MBA in Health Care Management, and serves on the Wisconsin Health Care Association (WHCA) Board. She is driven by a simple belief: when you build a culture that puts people first, excellence follows.

Kirstin Pedretti, MPS, NHA, FACHCA

Chief innovation Officer

Kirstin holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and Master of Professional Studies in Healthcare Leadership with a specialty concentration in Strategic Management of Healthcare from the University of Denver. She began her career as an Administrator-in-Training at a Life Plan Community, offering skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, and adult day care services, and went on to become a licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Kirstin’s career spans across a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals and managing physician clinics, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the entire continuum of care. Her broad experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities across different care settings, enhancing her ability to develop comprehensive solutions that improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. With a passion for innovation and strategic management, Kirstin is dedicated to advancing the quality of care for seniors and enhancing the healthcare delivery system. She specializes in driving complex healthcare initiatives, developing effective strategies, and advancing payment reform to improve performance outcomes. Her expertise also includes building strong preferred provider relationships and optimizing payer network participation. As a key leader within Carriage-managed facilities, Kirstin plays an integral role in assessing, designing, and implementing forward-thinking projects and innovations. A member of the American College of Health Care Administrators since 2008, Kirstin continues to advocate for improvements in senior care and healthcare delivery at every level.

Jennifer Augustine, MSN,

Chief Operating Officer

Jennifer Augustine is a senior healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience leading complex healthcare organizations across skilled nursing, assisted living, home health, and higher education. She currently serves in executive operational leadership roles, providing strategic oversight for multi-site organizations with a focus on quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and workforce development. Throughout her career, Jennifer has held executive leadership positions including Vice President of Operations, Executive Director, and Director of Clinical Operations. In these roles, she has successfully guided organizations through accreditation and survey readiness, led growth initiatives, and driven performance improvement efforts. She is widely recognized for building high-performing teams, mentoring emerging leaders, and aligning clinical excellence with long-term operational sustainability. In addition to her operational leadership, Jennifer brings a strong academic foundation to her work. She has served as Associate Dean of Nursing and as adjunct faculty in nursing and gerontology programs, contributing to the education and preparation of future healthcare professionals. Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Nursing along with multiple leadership and administrative certifications. She remains actively engaged in advisory boards and community partnerships that support healthcare workforce readiness and advancing care for aging populations.

Nicole Boldt, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Nicole is a licensed CPA with an accounting degree from St. Norbert College. Her 13 years of accounting and finance experience includes public accounting and leading a senior living finance team. Nicole’s background specializes in non-profits and healthcare through her work with organizations within the senior living, home health, social service, and charitable foundation industries. She enjoys understanding the operations and financials to create strategies to ensure financial stability and long-term organizational success. In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her husband and young children, as well as serving on a local nonprofit board in Northeast Wisconsin.

Shannon Angell, RN, NHA

Chief Nursing Officer

Shannon Angell brings extensive clinical, operational, and executive leadership experience to the Carriage Healthcare team, along with a strong commitment to advancing quality in long-term care. She is licensed in Wisconsin as both a Registered Nurse and Nursing Home Administrator and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and QAPI Certified Professional (QCP). Shannon began her healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant as a teenager. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse at age 23, serving for 11 years before earning her Registered Nurse license in 2003. Her leadership roles have included MDS Coordinator, Director of Nursing, and Nursing Home Administrator, a role she assumed in 2007. She later served in regional long-term care leadership roles and worked as an RN Quality Reviewer with MetaStar, Wisconsin’s Quality Improvement Organization. From 2018 to 2024, Shannon held executive leadership roles at St. Camillus in Wauwatosa, serving as Clinical Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. She has also contributed to professional education as a consultant for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Nursing Home Administrator Program, helping align curriculum with national exam standards. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Administration and Management through Aspen University. She has volunteered for eight years as an AHCA/NCAL Quality Award Examiner Team Lead and has served on several nonprofit and advisory boards, while also supporting community organizations including United Way and Hunger Task Force. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys raising bees, ducks, and chickens, and caring for her dog and rescued feral cats.

Carol Stine

Controller​​

Carol holds a Bachelor of Business Degree in Finance and a Masters in Business Admini-stration degree. Her accounting and finance career has crossed diverse industries including healthcare, construction, oil & gas and start-ups. As a diligent and detail-oriented Controller with Carriage Healthcare Companies, she oversees the monthly financial statement preparation for eight skilled nursing facilities. Carol works with and helps train the accounting teams at the different locations to help ensure the financials are complete and accurate. She prepares the monthly consolidated financial statements for the 20+ senior living facilities & home health agencies that Carriage manages, as well as the quarterly consolidated financial packages for the Board of Directors and bondholders. ​In her spare time, Carol enjoys spending time with friends, family and her two dogs.

Stephanie Romero

Assistant Controller​

Stephanie has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Colorado. Her responsibilities at Carriage include oversight of financial completion and accuracy with an emphasis on home health and assisted living. She has a focus in banking management and financial software system support and implementation. Prior to joining the Carriage Healthcare team, her professional accounting experience includes work in the fields of agricultural packing and distribution, automotive maintenance and aerospace inspection.

Bunny Markarian

Corporate Compliance Officer​

Bunny is a seasoned professional in long-term care, with a remark-able 35-year career spanning multiple states. From her early days as a senior living administrator to her current role as the Corporate Compliance Officer for WISH, Bunny has consistently demonstrated her commitment to providing quality care for the elderly. ​With a bachelor’s degree in management and a wealth of knowledge gained through her vast experience, Bunny continues to make a positive impact in the field of long-term care. Her dedication to the well-being of seniors is evident in her prior involvement with an assisted living association, where she served as the co-president. She is also politically active, maintaining relationships with state legislators and keeping up on important issues that affect senior care.

M. Beth Miller

Director of Human Resources​​

Beth brings over two decades' experience in human resources, specializing in payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws, including the ACA (Affordable Care Act). For more than a decade, she has overseen all HR operations at Carriage Healthcare Companies, ensuring efficient payroll processes, effective benefits management, and full regulatory compliance. Beth holds a Master of Science in Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management and a certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Throughout her career, Beth has successfully managed multi-state and multi-location health, life, FSA, and 401(k) plans, payroll processing, open enrollment, and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration. Her diverse industry experience spans banking, hospitality, manufactured housing, engineering, and professional employer organizations (PEOs), always with a focus on fostering strong employee relations and ensuring legal compliance.

Darla Roark

Director of Staff Development, Recruiting & Retention​

Darla oversees the recruitment, onboarding, new hire orientation, talent management, and the electronic learning management system for Carriage-managed facilities, ensuring these processes align with our quality standards. She plays a key role in promoting positive staff morale and recognition across Carriage-managed facilities and home health agencies, fostering a supportive work environment for staff and a positive living environment for residents and patients. A dedicated professional, Darla is an active member of the National Association for Health Care Recruiters (NAHCR) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Darla’s passion for working with people grew during her 25-year career as a paralegal. She earned her certification from the National Association of Paralegals, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and completed the Leadership Enhancement and Preparation (LEAP) program. She has also published an article offering guidance on transitioning special needs children into adulthood.

Andras Csapo

Director of IT

Andras is a seasoned infor-mation technology professional with over 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, systems administration, and vendor relations. He has successfully led complex technology projects, optimized IT systems, and aligned technology initiatives with business objectives. His expertise includes EHR system management, network security, data analytics, and telecommunications systems. Andras is highly skilled in IT vendor management, project leadership, and team training, ensuring smooth technology adoption and system performance. His strategic approach and technical proficiency make him a valuable asset in optimizing technology systems and improving service delivery across all levels of operation.

Julie Noone
Director of Marketing

Julie is a seasoned marketing professional with a diverse background spanning healthcare, real estate, publishing, music, and small business. As Marketing Director for Carriage-managed facilities and agencies, she specializes in census growth, HR recruitment, and strategic marketing. Her creative expertise includes graphic design, website management, digital and social media management, and marketing strategy development. Julie is also skilled in campaign development, copywriting, video editing, and managing ad placements across print, TV, and radio. She also handles press releases and community-based marketing initiatives, ensuring Carriage-managed facilities and agencies maintain a strong local presence while driving visibility and continued growth.

Kim Paradise

Kim is CHC’s very versatile executive administrative assistant with a dual role as our CFO (Chief Fun Officer), never missing an opportunity to celebrate a holiday or special occasion within out office. Her well-honed background in customer service plus strong interpersonal & communication skills, problem-solving abilities and creativity have made her a strong addition to our staff. Kim keeps our office running smoothly, but also assists every department at CHC including HR, AP, payroll, marketing and the executive suite with duties such as assisting with recruitment and employee records, managing invoices and reconciling accounts, coordinating and editing content for the monthly newsletters, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, helping with the planning of Carriage’s semi-annual conferences, and assisting with special projects in various departments. She also keeps us well-supplied with chocolate!

Caress Mares

Administrative Assistant​​

Caress has a strong background in accounting and administration. She's skilled in MS365 and database management and keeps our office running smoothly with her strong customer service, time management and multitasking abilities. ​Since joining CHC, Caress has taken on IT responsibilities, assists HR & Finance with special projects, manages the monthly newsletters, and helps with travel arrangements in addition to other responsibilities.​ A Colorado native, Caress is mom to competitive athletes and love to cheer on her kids.
